As I mentioned yesterday, Jaime had her first of four potential weekly visits to the doc on Tuesday. These visits are starting to get more exciting now. It figures, of course, that the first appointments that I went to were boring and relatively unproductive. Now that I’ve decided the appointments aren’t worth my taking time out of work anymore, they start to get interesting.

Weeman is on the starting blocks. Jaime has dropped and Weeman is gearing up by pointing his head down and kicking her in the ribs. The doctor estimates that Weeman is about 6 1/2 pounds right now and added that Jaime could go at any time.

The suspense is killing me.

So, tonight I’ll be in the garage, cleaning cars and installing baby seats in preparation for that panicked call. One preparation I’ve already made is to set up an email list to notify friends and family of the birth. A lot of hospitals are participating now in websites that set up a page dedicated to new babies so that friends and family can see the baby and get the vital stats.
