My company is not exactly liberal with holidays. We get a bare minimum of them. As a result, we get no days off between New Year's Day and Memorial Day. If it weren't for Aidan, Monday would be my first day off in very nearly 6 months. As if I weren't looking forward to a 3 day weekend enough, it turns out that Jaime is off Monday as well! 

Since we've lived together, Jaime has always worked at least every third weekend and she has never worked in a place that observed "holidays" since I've known her. So, this is a rare treat. In fact, we figure that aside from Aidan's birth, we haven't had 3 days off together since our honeymoon.

There are plans for a little of everything this weekend. A barbecue, a zoo trip, a little house work, and who knows what else. Maybe if we're feeling particularly psychotic we'll try a little dinner out with the boy.

So, expect me to be incommunicado as far as the blog is concerned until Tuesday. There's always the chance that I feel the need to share something with you between now and then but I wouldn't count on it!
