Beach Baby
This post really isn't about Aidan so the title and the photo are sort of false advertising or bait and switch. I figured that some just might be going through withdrawals so I better throw out some new pictures.
I have to say that I've been very happy with the new job but that its been busy. Busy is a good thing in this case but it has kept me from some of the outside stuff I like to do. Much of this is just an adjustment on my part. I have to get used to being too busy during the day to look at my website and usually too busy at lunch to shoot pictures for Tom's Lens. Instead, I need to get my butt in gear when I get home and start doing these things then.
I felt sort of out of touch now. I had been so used to a routine of looking at my favorite blogs first thing in the morning or writing here but now I'm lucky if I do that once a week! Its a bit like going on vacation only to come back and learn of all the news that passed you by.
I've added some more pictures to Aidan's Album an, fortunately, Bob and Jean have been adding photos all along. I hope to at least set one or two nights aside to edit the blog on a regular basis and with any luck, I'll squeeze out even more time.
As far as updates on Jaime and I go, we're both petitioning for more time to be added to the day but other than that, we're both pretty good. Jaime is still training in the OR her current rotation is in the GU surgery field. That means she's operating on pee-pees all day. According to her, this is a vast improvement over her previous rotation for OB/GYN. Apparently one set of sick genitalia is, on the whole, more disgusting than the other.
We haven't been doing much more at home than treading water. We never planted the planters on the deck, we never trimmed the hedges or mulched the plants, and if I didn't manage to somehow keep up with mowing the lawn, people would be convinced the house was abandoned. It seems as though between taking care of Aidan, family commitments, other plans, and the rain, we haven't had much of a chance to do the normal house stuff we talk about. Since my new job doesn't have a company shutdown in July, it looks like I won't have that extended home time to get stuff done either.
I must bid you farewell for now but I hope to be back on in a day or two with more shots of Aidan.
