In the interest of saving time I won't even get into how long its been since I posted last. Needless to say, I've been busier than I ever really thought I would be. In the mean time, Aidan has turned six months old and gets more fun every day. So here's the Reader's Digest version of the past month compressed into the few minutes I have to spare.

Aidan turned 6 months old on July 3rd. The day passed without fanfare and like all his other month milestones, we spent far more time anticipating the day than we did celebrating it. He is now extremely talkative and desperate for mobility. Although he has the ability to sit up now, he lacks the desire. He sits up for mere seconds before finding something more interesting just out of his reach. Then he leans forward, collapses onto his belly and rolls his way to the object of his desire. This method is neither efficient or accurate but since he still hasn't figured out he needs to prop himself up on his arms AND legs to crawl, it will have to do. 

Two weeks ago he had his 6 month checkup. Oddly enough he still doesn't appreciate the three giant needles in his legs. He is now 15lbs. 6oz. and 27 inches long. This growth is painfully obviously about 4 minutes after picking him up.

Aidan also now rides around in style. On the same day of his checkup, daddy picked up a new ride. The Kia has been retired in favor of a Chrysler Town & Country minivan. Because mommy has a severe allergic reaction to minivans, its now daddy's daily driver. Quietly, I think this is just a way for Jaime to make sure I don't cheat on her. The C&T isn't exactly a babe magnet.
